The calculator also provides information of the HSC scaling of subjects as well ATAR to UAI conversion. 

University cut-offs are used to determine the minimum ATAR needed to be eligible to study for a particular University course, depending upon course demand. 

For example the UAI cut off in 2008 for a bachelor of Combined Law at the University of NSW was 99.40

The 2010 Atar calculator is based upon the 2009 HSC results and gives an estimate of your UAI and ATAR.
