Study environment

Your study place

Preferably study in the same place every day.
Do not allow distractions. If necessary close the door.
Use a tidy desk and a chair of suitable height. Keep good posture.
Keep tools within reach and books in a handy bookcase.
Ensure you have adequate ventilation and a comfortable temperature.
Provide a good natural light and adequate electric light so that you do not strain to see you books.
Never study lying on your bed.
Wear comfortable clothing.
Provide and use a suitable filing system. Do not scramble notes in any folder or heap.
Your ring binders should be labelled and easy to reach. Have a separate one for each subject, using dividers for different units.
