Your study place

  • Preferably study in the same place every day.

  • Do not allow distractions. If necessary close the door.

  • Use a tidy desk and a chair of suitable height. Keep good posture.

  • Keep tools within reach and books in a handy bookcase.

  • Ensure you have adequate ventilation and a comfortable temperature.

  • Provide a good natural light and adequate electric light so that you do not strain to see you books.

  • Never study lying on your bed.

  • Wear comfortable clothing.

  • Provide and use a suitable filing system. Do not scramble notes in any folder or heap.

  • Your ring binders should be labelled and easy to reach. Have a separate one for each subject, using dividers for different units.
